Over the past century, urban and suburban development has shifted as labor forces adapted to technological innovations and automation. The project examines changes in city planning, wealth distribution, resource allocation, environmental impacts, and population migrations, as illustrated by the evolution of commercial office spaces. With the rise of artificial intelligence, remote work, and digital technology, the work questions how physical spaces are valued relative to virtual ones and what implications these shifts have for the organization of society and the productivity of traditional spaces.

The title is taken from the Biblical reference to the land of milk and honey. Bringing it to the life we live today, it is about that constant aspiration and efforts to attain the best life that anyone can have. The efforts are symbolized by the stairway behind the subject. Of course, without guardrails it is so easy to fall off the stairway, and sadly many people do.
Created on a ZX Spectrum (8-bit home computer from the 80s). Unfortunately, the artist suffered a stroke in 2022, a few months after this piece was created. He has since been painstakingly re-learning pixelart with his left hand.

Math Art is the first NFT drop by Herbert W. Franke, forefather of media art. This 100 piece-collection is drawn from his iconic 80s series Math Art where mathematical investigation is translated into visual art, with a stunning variety of forms that is strikingly reminiscent of Pop Art.

Surfing into darkness and looking for the truth.
Embark is the first piece completed in the collection and is also the first fully digital piece in my Oil and Water series. It’s a visual representation of the first chapter in the story of my (and many others) introduction into the crypto/NFT space. The graffiti on the sails pay homage to the early innovators and technologies upon which the NFT space is built. Each NFT comes with a physical giclee print (signed & numbered on Matte Velvet Rag Paper; 100% cotton, 315 g, acid and lignin free). Shipping will be arranged 2 weeks (June 4th) after the sale via e-mail directly with the artist - buyers must respond in order to receive print. Shipping will be covered, however, VAT/duties may be due on international shipments and are the responsibility of the buyer.

This is the Self-Portrait with Thorn Necklace and Hummingbird, one of my Redraw with Code series. I picked colors from the original artwork and drew various shapes in the corresponding positions. Shape changes based on a Perlin noise value over time, creating an infinite variation on every frame. As you get closer to the image, the Self-Portrait with Thorn Necklace and Hummingbird disappears, leaving only the colored shapes that move according to the rules given. Take more/less distance from your screen to fully grasp the idea of this work.
